This programme has been run for families in the Vale for the past 3 years. The programme offers breakfast, lunch, sporting activities, education and social time during the school holidays.
Early indications from surveys carried out is that this offering helps families during difficult times during the long summer holidays with two meals per day and child care. This is particularly difficult for parents who work full time and have no access to child minding during this long period.
Teachers have also noticed the difference in pupils returning to school in September, they seem more confident and have a lot of good news stories to share with their class.
