CSR & Sustainability

As well as our food being Big and Fresh, we’re also Big on the environment in schools, businesses and the world.

Some of our initiatives include:

• All replacement equipment is always replaced with ‘A’ rated and energy efficient
• We proactively reduce the use of plastics within the catering service. For example, we have replaced 189ml milk bottles with 2ltr containers
• Removal of all plastic cutlery
• Removal of plastic straws and replace with paper
• We’re currently exploring separate food waste pick ups
• We only use MSC certified fish from sustainable waters
• We have a Big Fresh initiative, so that all profits generated from our corporate and private business is invested straight back into our schools

Recycling of paper, plastic and cardboard products are a given on each school site.
